Continuing a cherished tradition, a grand Shobha Yatra was organised in which 101 devoted women walked with lit diyas in their hands, chanting the sacred mantra “Swamiye Ayyappa” and creating an atmosphere filled with faith and spirituality. The celebrations began with a special puja at the holy Ayyappa Mandir in Jamalpur, Ludhiana. One of the most touching moments was the offering of food to an elephant, believed to be the divine swari (vehicle) of Lord Ayyappa, symbolising humility, devotion, and divine connection. As the yatra progressed, the streets resonated with the powerful beats of traditional Kerala dhol and classical Kerala drums, proudly reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of South India.
