Welcome to our Vietnam travel adventure! We started early by taking a bus to Sapa, soaking in scenic views as we climbed into Vietnam’s misty highlands. After reaching Sapa, we headed straight to the Fansipan funicular train station, excited to reach the “Roof of Indochina.” Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, the Fansipan cable car ride was closed—definitely a letdown, but nature had other plans for us. Making the most of the day, we visited the popular Moana Café, known for its aesthetic viewpoints and mountain backdrops. Even with the clouds rolling in, the vibes were cozy and the views were still worth it. Later, we took a relaxed walk around Sapa Square, watching the town slow down as evening set in. With cool weather, street lights, and a calm atmosphere, we decided to call it a day and rest up. The next day, we headed back to Hanoi by bus. Once in the capital, we explored the historic St. Joseph’s Cathedral (Black Cathedral), wandered around nearby streets, and picked up some famous Vietnamese coffee. We also got a glimpse of the iconic Shark Jaw Building, which is set to be demolished soon—making it a rare sight to catch before it disappears. To end the day on a high note, we headed to Beer Street, soaking in Hanoi’s buzzing nightlife, music, and street energy—an energetic contrast to Sapa’s calm mountains.
