Worcestershire County Council | Supported Living | Anne's Story Ann is a 56 year old lady with a learning disability who has lived in residential care for many years. Moving into supported living was both exiting and daunting for Ann but has proved to be extremely successful. Supported living is the term used to describe how people with disabilities are enabled to live independently in their own homes. This can be from as little as a few hours per week to help people with shopping and paying bills, to providing a number of hours each day with access to support at night. Support is tailored to the needs of the individual and should enable people to be as independent as possible whilst ensuring that they are safe.
