M/S of Charrington's coal lorries leaving coal yard. M/S of coalman delivering sack of coal at private house. Various shots of a woman demonstrating the economical way to have a coal fire; she clears the grate, sorts the ashes from the clinker in the garden and then lights the fire using rolled paper as kindling and reuses the salvaged ashes.
