The softest sponge cake with fluffy whipped cream and strawberries ♡ ♡ I'll list the ingredients in the order I used them :) 🍓 Sponge Cake 6 egg whites 1/3 cup (67g) sugar ♡ Beat on high speed until you get firm peaks ♡ Set aside In a separate bowl 6 egg yolks 2/3 cup (134g) sugar 1/4 tsp salt 2 tbsp water 2 tsp honey 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ♡ Beat on high until light and fluffy ♡ Add half the egg white mixture and fold in gently 1 cup (118g) sifted cake flour 1/2 tsp baking powder ♡ Fold in gently 1/3 cup (113g) vegetable oil (mix some batter with the oil before adding) ♡ Add the rest of the egg whites and fold in gently 🍓 Whipped Cream 2 cups (454g) heavy cream 4 tbsp sugar (you can add more or less) 1 lb fresh chopped strawberries (for topping) 🍓 Bake the cake in two 6 inch cake pans at 350F (177C) for 27-30 minutes 📝 Notes: ♡ Make sure the cakes are fully cooled before starting on the whipped cream ♡ Refrigerate the assembled cake for at least 2 hours before slicing Cake recipe from Drive Me Hungry ♡ https://drivemehungry.com/easy-sponge...
