I changed a few things so hopefully the volume went up! If you have any more suggestions or things I need to work on please let me know. One of my biggest pet peeves in collecting is sitting down appraising what was once a great collection that was soured because of improper handling or storage. While we think of metal as a sturdy material, it is subject to environmental factors that we think wouldn’t matter. 1. Stay away from cheap plastic 2x2s and cardboard 2x2s! While it may seem for convenient to staple of shove a coin into a flip, these are the most damaging materials you can put your coins in. For cheap storage I recommend coin envelopes. 2. Be careful with your albums! If you pull out plastic sides for your coin albums a lot, think twice! Albums offer great protection and a visibly pleasing way to show off your coins, but if a coin is not properly placed inside, the slides can damage the coins inside severely. I personally push coins deep into one side and only use the other for taking the slides out. Dollar stores often have great products that won’t break the bank when it comes to filters. Protect your coins for the future! How do you store your coins? PLEASE let me know if you’d like me to specifically discuss something or if there are things I need to work on.
