Nównøis is a London-based Hungarian singer/producer and sound designer making dark, intimate alt-R&B/trip-hop for people who like being alone. Her new release, “Incomplete (The Shinobu Version)”, reframes her self-produced original into a quieter, more nocturnal cut—heavy bass, clipped drums, and close-mic vocals built for late-night headphones. It’s part of EP1•Verses, a 100% DIY chapter release (music, visuals, handmade merch) already available in full via Bandcamp/website and now rolling out track-by-track on major platforms. For fans of shadowy alt-pop edges and trip-hop texture (Björk/Portishead/FKA twigs-adjacent), with support to date including New Zealand Trip Hop Radio and underground compilation placements. Nównøis (fka NAGYEDi) is a London-based Hungarian singer, songwriter, producer and sound designer making music for people who like being alone. Her sound slips between dark R&B, trip hop, avant-pop and experimental electronica, built from field recordings, sampled everyday noises and vocals that move from fragile confession to fierce refusal. After a run of singles and global collaborations, EP1 • verses marks her first larger body of work as Nównøis – a 100% DIY project where she took full control of songwriting, production, sound design, visuals and even handmade merch. The EP is rolling out track by track on major platforms, while already available in full via her website and Bandcamp, earning comparisons to Björk, Portishead and FKA twigs, a feature on New Zealand Trip Hop Radio, and the inclusion of “rain falling” on Trans Of Noise’s Fall/Winter Mini Compilation. A sought-after collaborator, she has appeared on releases by The Subtheory, Boohai, Ainti, Lnoer, Levente Fegyverneky, and more. Her “Like a River (The Third Mind Remix)” video was selected for Silver Screenings at the Berlin Music Video Awards, and she curates and performs at her own underground nights, presented by the collective and label Alternatíva. Upcoming shows include Cable Festival (28 February) and Electroniq at The Dublin Castle, Camden (27 March) – the kind of spaces where her world makes most sense, and where it’s clear Nównøis is quietly becoming one to watch. *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
