Short notice: Unfortunately I do not take requests on this channel, mainly due to them being time consuming and sadly having a rather busy schedule. However, please enjoy the content I post and thank you for watching! ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Earlier this year when winter came to an end, the lower heating element on my Dimplex Electric Radiant Fire stopped working, turned out the nichrome coil had eventually broken in two. So I ordered a new Quartz/Silica element and thought I'd make a video on me doing it. Note: I am in no means making this as a tutorial video and any work should be either done by a competent person, or someone with more expertise in this area. I do this out of pure content and for your viewing pleasure. It did take quite a while to eventually resemble but, it was fun to learn how to do this, hopefully if there's a next time, I shall know what to do. This now works perfectly and is ready for the cold winter nights. It's often hard to find these now as they were deemed "unsafe" due to the ability to lift the metal cage guard and touch the elements. As well as being reduced to 1600W for some or 1200W as opposed to 2000W like this one. Thank you and enjoy! :)
