シンガーソングライターのSincere（シンシア）さんをメンバーに迎え、グループ名を「流線形」から「RYUSENKEI」に改名して、新生アルファミュージックから新作シングルを2025年5月21日にリリースしたRYUSENKEI。 リリース曲の『真夏の瞬間』を、渋めのSlapに変えてベース・カバーしました。原曲のベースは指弾きだと思います。 この曲で興味をもったのが以下の点。ちょっと解説します。 曲の歌い出し「突然のスコール」の部分、竹内まりやさんの『Plastic Love』の「突然のキスや」をリファレンスしたように聴こえます。歌のメロディが2小節弱の間ほとんど同じで、歌詞も「突然の」を重ねているので、意図したもののようですね。 さらに興味深いのが、その後に続く「雲すり抜けて〜」あたりから歌唱法がやや鼻にかかり、「Oh Yah〜」の部分はメロディと歌のビブラートが宇多田ヒカルさんの『Automatic』などを彷彿とさせる歌唱に変化していること。 両方を知る人には、1984年（Plastic Love）から1998年（Automatic）に、別の観点ではシティ・ポップの代表曲からJ-POPの代表曲に、数秒間でタイム・スリップするという仕掛け。クニモンド瀧口さん、やるなあ、と感心しました。 原曲の雰囲気は踏襲しつつも、指弾きをスラップに変えた即興のベースライン。 結果は、聴いて、見てみてくださいね ＜使用機材＞ Fender Precision Bass 1976 KGR Harmony 黒匣 "KUROHAKO" (Buffer) FEA Labs Opti-FET Compresser PettyJohn FILTER (EQ) Shin's Music Bass Master Preamp Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B (Speaker Cabinet Simulator) G2_Systems R.D.I (D.I.) A bass cover of the released single ”Summer Ray", with an austere slap. I think the bass in the original song is fingerpicked. I was interested in the following points in this song. Let me explain a little. The first part of the song, “Sudden Squall,” sounds like a reference to “Sudden Kiss,” from Mariya Takeuchi's "Plastic Love. It seems to be intended, since the melody of the song is almost the same for less than two bars, and the lyrics also have the “sudden” overlaid. What is more interesting is that the singing style becomes a bit nasal around the “Clouds Slipping Through~” section that follows, and the melody and the vibrato of the song changes to a singing style reminiscent of Hikaru Utada's ‘Automatic’ and others in the “Oh Yah~” section. For those who know both, it is a time-slip in a few seconds from 1984 (Plastic Love) to 1998 (Automatic), and from another perspective, from a city pop classic to a J-pop classic. I was impressed by the way Mr. Cunimondo Takiguchi did it. The improvised bass line, which followed the atmosphere of the original song, but changed the fingerpicking to slap.
