Inspired by my all-time favorite British animated movie (1978) Watership Down. A haunting folk ballad following a band of rabbits fleeing danger and seeking refuge in Ashwood Hill. With fingerpicked guitars, mellotron strings, and a ghostly flute, “Journey to Ashwood Hill” evokes the warmth and sorrow of 1970s pastoral folk — a journey through loss, hope, and home As always, it's not perfect by any means, but I'm happy with the end result. Suno is great but it's not perfect. Hope you enjoy, and please feel free to like, comment and subscribe. Support for the channel would be greatly appreciated. Not to be taken seriously... It's all for fun. Lyrics for... "Journey to Ashwood Hills" [Verse 1] We fled the field where danger came, Through briar and thorn, through fire and rain. The warren lost, we run as one, Beneath the moon, beyond the sun. [Pre-Chorus] [The hedgerow hides us from their eyes, The hawk that hunts the open skies. [Chorus] Still the stars remember names, Soft as moss beneath the rain. We are breath and we are flame, Running, searching, wild and free, For a warren we can't see. [Verse 2] The dogs may bark, the snares may wait, But hope still burns beyond the gate. We cross the downs through wind and fear, Our brothers fall, yet still we're here. [Pre-Chorus] Through barley fields and morning dew, We seek the hill where clover grew. [Chorus] Still the stars remember names, Carved in roots and whispered rain. We are shadows in the grain, Running, bleeding, hearts aflame, For a home we'll find again. [Verse 3] The morning breaks on Ashwood Hill, We dig our burrows, safe and still. Our journey done, our numbers few, But home at last beneath the yew. [Bridge] And when the meadow fades from sight, We'll follow whispers into light. No fear, no pain, just soft release, The warren calls us home to peace. [Chorus] Still the stars remember names, Written soft in wind and rain. Every life a fleeting flame, But the warren still remains, Love remains, love remains.
