No talking, its a simple follow what i do scenario, using cheats ofc to speed things along but everything shown can be done legit, just have to take longer Basically its as follows: 1. get a border with kyoto 2. get really large (i skipped this part) 2.5. Optionally get a lot of allies in japan to speed this war up 3. declare independence and DO NOT grab a new government when daimyo is abolished! (IMPORTANT!) 4. take both kyoto and independence in that same war 5. Wait a month tick and then select independent daimyo government Alternate method: on point 3. take monarchy, then take independence and kyoto, wait till 100 reform progress then switch to independent daimyo HOW THIS WORKS: so normally when an outsider takes kyoto the shogunate is abolished, but when a daimyo takes it (including independent ones) they become the new shogun, HOWEVER you lose daimyo status and become a temporary generic feudal duchy when you declare independence, because of this you are not a "daimyo" and hence cannot take the shogunate, your also not an "outsider" so you cant abolish it either, so instead the event just doesnt fire (if you lose kyoto to an outsider and regain it, the shogunate comes back, if you lose it to another independent daimyo you become a daimyo of their shogunate). allowing you to safely pick independent daimyo forever IF Paradox patches this out (its actually a piss easy fix) i take no responsibility for showing this, im sure they already know about it anyway as people have been doing similar exploits like this on stream in MP lobbies. but im hoping they leave this in as a feature, because its one way to do things, and isnt actually broken ... independent daimyo is a proper government, and shogunate breaks just like the HRE (only instead shogunate is supposed to reform as well, but thats DUMB!)
