I deployed the code starting in 1991 to connect cannabis with the peace movement and encourage 429 be used to promote non-violence and peace. When this interview was conducted by ABC (on April 20th), I was the spearhead on 420 because I had been the person promoting it for years. What I hadn't realized however was that the Mt Tam ceremony had been shut down by the park rangers who also got a copy of the famous flyer. That means the biggest 420 ceremonies for the next decade was the ones I was organizing at WHEE! and the Cannabis Cup. Haters at High Times ridiculed my theory on the origins and claimed the Waldos were my friends and the whole thing was a hoax. After High Times disappeared me the original Waldos made me one of them. The sad part is all I was trying to do is connect cannabis with the peace movement. For a few years, I was the center of gravity on 420, and was well on his way to getting this message out. But then I was disappeared. True story.
