After we took about an hour of taking the whole dash apart and after all that I thought I was going to have to take out the whole steering column but then we found an easier way by just simply taking a little bit of the insulation out to make room on the passenger side for your arm to go up inside the dash along the far right side of the car. So we thought we would spare you the trouble any of you that have to do this to your Cobalt and share with you how easy it can be to just reach up in the front right side under the dash of the car and pull out the actuator and snap in the new one.
