While staying for a long weekend in the north east of England in October 2022 we had time, before leaving for home on our last morning, to revisit the frigate HMS Trincomalee at the National Royal Navy Museum in Hartlepool. We always wanted to revisit but I know it must be years ago as I didn’t have a digital camera that took movie footage back then. The Trincomalee was built in 1817 and has had a few different names while in service for over 200 years but it was decided that her name would be “HMS Trincomalee” when she came to be restored in Hartlepool. She is one of only two Leda-Class frigates that have survived, the other is HM Unicorn built in 1824, that is now a visitor attraction in Dundee, Scotland. I know some of you do not like me putting a little information in my videos but I think, for this video, some was needed so I kept it as brief as I could. I hope you enjoy this video about HMS Trincomalee as much as I did and thank you for viewing.
