Today I had the honor of learning from the great Traci Easterday. Her passion for her work shines brightly in her intentional layers, brilliant textures and stark emotions of all the characters she works with. Traci Easterday is an illustrator and graphic designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from the Rhode Island school of Design in 2008, she worked as a creative director and graphic designer for 12 years. In 2022, she pivoted her career towards illustration, after finding a deep passion for the intersection of illustration, design, and pop culture. She works in a combined graphic/painterly style, takes pride in capturing a character's likeness, and loves to play with custom type on posters. Most recently, she created a 10 card insert set for Topps Star Wars Hyperspace 2025. Additionally, she had an officially licensed print in the Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 art show, created a 15 card insert set for Topps Star Wars Chrome Galaxy 2024, and continues to work as a sketch card artist.
