This is video #023 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster on Steam. Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster Playlist:    • Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster [PC] Playth...   Previously, the party healed Krile's wind drake at the Castle of Bal and gained it as transportation. They tried to visit Ghido's cave, but Exdeath sank the cave before they could go in. Then, they visited Surgate Castle, where they found the Float spell and the Swift Song. However, Surgate's king, Xezat, is carrying out a naval assault on Exdeath. Afterwards, they did a little grinding. Now, they will rendezvous with Xezat's fleet and help with the assault on Exdeath. Galuf's World - World Map: The party resumes outside the Castle of Bal. They board the wind drake. Off the coast just southeast of Castle Exdeath, they find Xezat's fleet. They land on the flagship. Xezat's Fleet (time 0:59): A scene takes place as the party lands on Xezat's flagship. Xezat invites the party to rest belowdecks in preparation for the assault on Exdeath. After gaining control, the party can examine the wind drake if they need to leave. They chat with Xezat and his personnel. Belowdecks, they head to the port cabin on floor B2 and get some rest. A scene takes place. The party returns to the deck. A scene takes place when they talk to Xezat. They must now help repel a monster attack. After the scene, monsters are roaming the deck. Coming into contact with most of them will trigger an encounter with a Gobbledygook, a Goblin family member. Faris reaches Level 32. When the party defeats the Gobbledygook at the bow, a scene with Xezat takes place. On the bow sprit, they talk to Gilgamesh and interrupt his Titanic moment. This triggers another battle with him. This time, Gilgamesh has Genji Gloves to steal, so the party snags them. The Genji Gloves prevent the status ailments paralysis and toad. Partway through the battle, Gilgamesh's companion, Enkidu, joins the battle. It is still not a difficult battle. Gilgamesh is Level 31. Using Dark Spark on him will lower his level to 15 and make him susceptible to Level 5 Death. Enkidu has a Green Beret to steal. At the end of the battle, Gilgamesh drops a Golden Shield. After the battle, a scene takes place. When the scenes are over, the party heads belowdecks again. After resting up in the port cabin on B2, they head to the starboard cabin. They talk to Xezat. Then, they examine the chest across from him and open a secret passage. This triggers a scene aboard Xezat's ... submarine! After they arrive at their destination, they can go downstairs to rest for free in the chairs. Afterwards, the party disembarks the submarine. Barrier Tower (time 16:29): The party arrives at the base of the Barrier Tower. They talk to Xezat, who provides an explosive means of entry. The party enters the Barrier Tower and starts on floor 1F. They approach Xezat for a scene. While Xezat takes out the generator, the party will go upstairs to take out the antenna. Xezat gives the party the Whisperweed key item to stay in contact. After regaining control, the party begins exploring the tower. The Barrier Tower is a one-time dungeon. There are four missable treasures and seven missable enemy types: Neon, Magnetite, Reflect Knight, Traveler, Level Tricker, Gravitator, and Ziggurat Gigas. In terms of Blue Magic, Traveler has the spell Time Slip, and Level Tricker has Level 2 Old. The party goes downstairs to chat with Xezat on B1. On 1F, the party takes the western stairway. They reach a save room on floor 2F. The party saves. Lenna changes her job to Freelancer and equips "!Summon Lv. 5" and !Mix. Bartz changes his job to Freelancer and equips "!Rapid Fire" and "!Spellblade Lv. 6". Faris changes her job to Freelancer and equips "!Blue Magic" and !Control. The party continues north to the next hallway. In an encounter with a Traveler, Faris uses !Control and makes the Traveler use Time Slip on her. The party learns the Blue Magic spell Time Slip. This inflicts Sleep and Old on one target. In the northwest, the party opens the western chest for a monster-in-a-box encounter. The possible enemy groups are two Yellow Dragons or a Red Dragon. On this occasion, the party encounters Yellow Dragons, which can shock the party with lightning. However, Faris takes control of one and has it use Hurricane to lower each dragon's HP to single digits. After defeating the enemies, the party obtains a Blood Sword. This sword drains the target's HP, but the effect is reversed if the enemy is undead. The other chest in the northwest contains 9,000 gil. The party takes the western doorway. They emerge outside on the 3F balcony of the tower. From a Reflect Knight, the party earns a Reflect Ring. The description is continued in the comments.
