India's most populous state Uttar Pradesh (UP) is among the worst affected states in the country. Yogi government claims that the situation is under control and there is no scarcity of medical liquid oxygen (MLO) and medicine. However, situation on ground is entirely different. Common people are suffering. Hospitals are full. Hospitals are turning away patients. Prayagraj, one of the largest cities of Uttar Pradesh, is also reeling under a severe second wave of COVID-19. To check the availability of liquid medical oxygen, Team Lallantop visited an oxygen refilling plant in Naini, Prayagraj (Allahabad). This oxygen plant in Naini belongs to the local BJP MLA Harshwardhan Vajpayee. District administration of Prayagraj (Allahabad) has put a notice in front of the Oxygen Refilling Plant declaring that only hospitals will get oxygen, private individuals (families of COVID patients in home isolation) will not get medical oxygen.
