Happy New Year, everyone!! Come with me while I explore a limited palette of ack, white and brown. It is so freeing not to think about what colors to use. I create twelve 3” square thumbnails in my Stillman & Birn Delta series sketchbook using just those three colors and a bit of handmade collage paper. I end up with such variety and I see a couple that could inspire a bigger painting. Thumbnails really do help me to work out compositions and color stories. I hope you give them a try.
