Like with any at-home dying process, you need to be ready for splashes and stains. Because of that, it is a good idea to prepare a room beforehand, so it is easier to clean it up afterward. Most suitable fabrics are cotton, linen and viscose. The dye will not work on pure synthetic fabrics, including synthetic threads. Consider colour mixing rules! Directions: 1) Weigh dry fabric, wash thoroughly. 2) Dissolve dye in 500ml warm water. Use rubber gloves. 3) Fill bowl/stainless steel sink with approximately6 liters warm water (40°C / 104°F). 4) Stir in 250g (10 tbsp) salt. Add dye and stir well. 5) Submerge fabric in dye water. 6) Stir for 15 minutes, then stir regularly from time to time 45 minutes. 7) Rinse fabric in cold water. 8) Wash in warm water and dry away from direct heat and sunlight.
