Many of the storage options in this range are desktop humidors. Desktop humidors vary quite a lot depending on your budget constraints and display and maintenance preferences. Generally, a tupperdor will provide the best seal for your environment with the least maintenance once it's set up. Meanwhile, wood humidors require seasoning and allow more moisture exchange with the outside. You get other benefits with these, such as the pleasant aroma and pest repellent properties of Spanish cedar. Luxury desktop humidors are typically wooden, and well-made high-end wood humidors have excellent seals. However, you can get a good wood humidor in the budget range, like the Quality Importers Old World we show here. One that is appropriate for food storage will ensure you're not exposing your cigars to toxic chemicals. For quantities in the upper range of a medium collection and beyond, you can build a coolidor. These use large, rigid plastic containers with airtight seals. Note that all of these storage options are types of humidor. Essentially, when you create a cigar storage microclimate, you've made a humidor, whether it's a bag, cooler, or even a room. There are many ways to store cigars, therefore you need to determine what traits you need in a humidor. First, however, determine how many you'll need to store.
