"Pioneering Artificial Intelligence in Tajikistan" - TajRupt Innovation Incubator Presentation

On Friday, May 25th 2018, the second cohort of TajRupt's Innovation Incubator delivered its final presentation on the topic of pioneering artificial intelligence in Tajikistan. The cohort, which has been studying business and economics digitally since February, discussed the impact of AI on Tajikistan's agricultural, industrial, and services sectors. The final recommendation included leveraging the engineering and technical skills of Tajikistani students, along with implementing free market policies, to attract foreign investment into the AI industry in the form of research labs and data centers. It was suggested that with the global AI field wide open, Tajikistan could gain competitive advantage in the tech economy of the future through transformation into the AI hub of Central Asia. The cohort was led by TajRupt's founder Azizjon Azimi (Harvard Kennedy School & Stanford Graduate School of Business) and consisted of: Maqsudjon Qalandarov (Khujand State University), Khosiyat Oripova (Polytechnic Lyceum in Khujand), Abbosjon Madiev (School #5 in Jabbor Rasulov district), Dildora Hikmatulloeva (Lyceum for Gifted Students in Khujand), and Avazkhon Sidykov (Gymnasium #4 in Khujand).
