Cynthia Erivo, who performed many of her own stunts, had at least two doubles: Jessica Holder as her body double and Kemi Durosinmi as her stunt double. Ariana Grande relied on Mollie De Meza and Christina Petrou as her doubles for Glinda - not for high-risk action, but for timing, lighting setups, and reshoots. Even Dorothy had a dedicated double, with Mollie De Meza standing in for actress Bethany Weaver, who actually played the role of Dorothy Gale in the film. Jonathan Bailey also worked closely with two doubles: Riyonn Farsad for stunts and Oliver Wheeler as a dance double. Even the Lion began as a physical performance - brought to life through motion capture by Omari Bernard before CGI enhancements were added. And that’s where the VFX team comes in.
