Former teacher guilty of sexual misconduct

SPOKANE, Wash. — A former Central Valley High School teacher has pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct. McKenna Kindred pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree sexual misconduct and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes. Kindred is waiving her right to a trial by jury. Kindred has been sentenced to four years of probation for both counts. Kindred won't be serving any jail time and will be fined $500. Kindred is required to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years. According to court documents, in December 2022, a 17-year-old student came forward and described an inappropriate relationship with Kindred. The allegations included the two of them exchanging explicit photos and messages on social media and a sexual relationship.
