This travel day was part of our longer journey toward Quartzsite, Arizona, with an overnight stop at Barstow / Calico KOA and then on to Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas. Along the way, we ran into a common RV issue when our black tank gauge showed one-third full even after dumping. During our overnight stop, John tried a simple tank cleaning approach using one cup of Dawn dish soap and one cup of Calgon to help clear the tank sensors. We show what happened at the KOA, why we waited to complete the process, and how the tank finally read empty after arriving and setting up at Desert Eagle RV Park on Nellis AFB. This video also captures what it is like settling into a military FamCamp after a long travel day, including jet fighters training overhead once we were parked and settled in. This is real RV travel — long days on the road, unexpected issues, and practical solutions that make travel days smoother.
