Quick look at a Translucent Black Arkansas Stone

Looking at a Norton HB8 black arkansas stone. Stone was not that far out of flat and lapped a majority of it with the Atoma 400. Once it was close I used 3M pro grade precision sandpaper (220 and 320) to get the stone completely flat. The 320 left a good finish so I did not go further with sandpaper. Final prep of the surface was with a botan nagura. kept 1 surface un touched and in its original condition. Razor was finished on the 10k before coming to the arkansas stone. I prefer to use oil on my arks, and the honing in the video was just for demonstrative purposes. When done with the stone I just spread the oil around and then wipe it up with a T-shirt. Will probably play with different finishes on the stone, however the edge was great. Cheers
