Trek details: Elevation Profile and Gpx file https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/#r... . It was around a week ago when I came across three lakes near Sarchu, thanks to the Survey of India (SOI) maps. The plan was to execute a single day speed hike to the three high altitude lakes of Ladakh. . We started from Sarchu (4350 m) at around 07:30 am and after walking for 14 km along the left bank of the Lingti Chu river valley we reached the Umlung Nala (4400 m) which is a side valley in which the lakes are present. . After hiking for another 3 kms we finally witnessed the most beautiful lakes with no documentation so far. We have decided to name these as Umlung Tso 1,2,3. . I would recommend everyone to do this hike as a one night two day hike. Doing it in a single day requires really good fitness levels and a well acclimatized body. .
