Originally sold in the lobby of theatres showing the movie, for I believe, one dollar, this 7" soundtrack now plays on 33 1/3 speed on my old Zenith solid state record player, down in the basement that houses more vintage bigfoot paraphernalia than any sane human should ever own. They also sold 7 x 5 inch "History of the Sasquatch" cards, complete with an unauthorized authentic reproduction of Patty's famous frame 352 on the front, and I guess what the movie directors thought represented a fairly complete picture of the Bigfoot mystery to date, on the flip side for a quarter. I wonder if who owns that PO Box in Oregon now... SIDE ONE Band 1. High in the Mountains (0:17) Band 2. Bigfoot Theme (3:10) SIDE TWO Band 1. Cougar Attack (7:22) Band 2. The Pack Train (10:46) Band 3. Barney's Theme (12:54) (from the back of the record sleeve...) A great addition to both the beauty and suspense of SASQUATCH, is the music. The original sound track score was composed especially for this film by Al Capps. "High in the Mountains" by Al Capps and Lane Caudell, opens side one with the mystery of this great legendary creature. The suspense and terror generated by the presence of the SASQUATCH creature itself is captured through both the exciting "Bigfoot Theme" and its spine-tingling cry direct from the sound track. Side two opens with the thrill of wilderness danger as we hear the "Cougar Attack." The beauty and awe of the great primitive lands known as "Bigfoot Country" is experienced in the beautiful and melodic theme "The Packtrain". The light-hearted humor of the beloved cook, Barney, is captured in the theme by that same name. All the thrill, humor, excitement and suspense of the great motion picture, SASQUATCH, is brought to you direct on this sound track recording. SASQUATCH is the original story of Bigfoot. It is a story that took over seven years of actual research before it became possible to produce into a motion picture. This movie reveals for the first time the complete story of the legendary Bigfoot, and captures on film man's greatest attempt to unravel the mysteries that surround the Sasquatch phenomenon. This film depicts in a dramatic manner true characters who have through modern history encountered this awesome creature. Box 806 - Springfield, OR 97477 (from the History of the Sasquatch...) Throughout the vast unexplored regions of the Pacific Northwest and Canada, there exists a living-breathing reminder of the Prehistoric Past. From the beginning of time, Indian legends have told of giant, hair-covered, human-like creatures roaming these vast mountainous areas of North America. These elusive creatures have also been given several names, such as: Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Omah and Giant Hairy Ape. Such names were given to describe the creature in this photograph. 1800 Two mountain hunters attacked by a creature that walked on two legs. One of them escaped to tell the story. 1924 Kelco, Washington Miners attacked by "Hairy Giant Creatures" at Ape Canyon. 1941 Ruby Creek, B.C. Sasquatch seen by Indian Woman. Many tracks were found and recorded. 1967 On October 20th, an investigator by the name of Roger Patterson took the first film footage ever taken of the legendary creature known as Bigfoot. The film focused international attention on the subject and with it new expeditions were sent out to search for this elusive creature. This photograph is an authentic reproduction from the negative of that now historical film footage.
