This is episode one of the T.E.C List… finally landing on YouTube. We actually filmed this before episodes two, three and four, but it only feels right to have the series start where it actually began. Our first stop was The Town Fryer inside Bury Market. The concept is simple. We’re visiting every chippy in Greater Manchester and ordering the same thing every time, chips and gravy, rating each one on Taste, Experience and Cost to build the full T.E.C board. Bury Market felt like the right place to begin. Big reputation. Proper Northern institution. Did The Town Fryer set the benchmark? Or has something else since taken that top spot?
