Kande Vihara is a major Buddhist temple located near the town of Aluthgama in the Kalutara district of Sri Lanka. As this temple is built on top of a hill not far from Aluthgama city, this temple got the name Kande Viharaya. Kshetrarama Pirivena, an educational institution for monks, was started in 1904 as a result of the efforts of Sri Sumangala Mihiyan of Hikkaduwa.
