Super Mario Nightfall is a New Super Mario Bros. Wii romhack created by ‪@Supamaddio‬ and the Starlight Team. Composed & Produced by Gale Sosa This song took many takes to get right. I wanted the song to be more "upbeat" like the overworld songs in Super Mario, but they wanted a sound that almost felt more melancholic and ambient. I was happy to find a compromise between both of our visions. This song keeps a mix of upbeat and strong melody, like mario, but also the melancholy and "cool" sound they were looking for. I remember other versions used a lot of modern sounds or at times a hybrid of the two. But for this version, I used primarily old synthesizers in my studio to get a more vintage quality and 'nostalgic' feeling.
