The National Panasonic RF2200 is a vintage portable radio that covers AM, FM and shortwave bands. It was sold in Japan in the late 1970s and has many features for the radio enthusiast, such as a rotatable ferrite antenna, a BFO for SSB reception, a crystal calibrator, a wide/narrow bandwidth switch, and an S-meter. It is powered by four D batteries or AC cord and has a large (4 inches ) front-mounted permanent magnet dynamic speaker. It is one of the most popular and sought-after radios among collectors and hobbyists. This radio was in a very poor condition. It took a lot of my time in restoration. This is Part 1 of the restoration video. As an electronics hobbyist, I'm passionate about building digital and analogue projects, with a particular love for restoring vintage radios, tape recorders, and record players.
