Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (March 22, 1976) is an American actress and producer. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the second child and only daughter of John Draper Witherspoon and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (née Reese) Witherspoon.
