SOO Line 1003: The Hartford Santa Train 11/8/25

First Holiday Train of the season! Today we find ourselves once again back in Wisconsin for like, the third weekend in a row, this time to see SOO Line 1003's last run of the 2025 Season, the annual Hartford Santa Train! Much like last year's run, the 1003 made a backup move all the way to Iron Ridge, WI just to give the engine a good running start when she made her way back to Hartford and we managed to get them at least twice before pulling into Hartford. After getting some shots in town of the engine and of Santa in the caboose, we made our way to Dupy for a little bit where we managed to see Amtrak 164 on the Borealis. We didn't stay for the backup move of 1003 after the event was over but considering how much footage we had gotten of 1003 this year, it was okay to make that sacrifice. I wanna thank the Steam Locomotive Heritage Association for a fantastic year with the 1003 and hopefully next year brings more great opportunities with the loco! Enjoy!
