Hermann Hauser® II was born in 1911 and worked along with his father Hermann Hauser® I in the same workshop from 1930. He took over the administration of the workshop in 1952 and led the company until 1983. He is one of the most important luthiers of the 21st century. Julian Bream, one of the most popular guitarists of the last century, played a guitar which was built by Hermann Hauser® II in 1957. This guitar built in 1965 and numbered 762 is an absolute beauty, one of the finest Hermann Hauser® II guitars one could imagine. It is absolutely free of cracks and only wears a few minimal playing marks on the top. The varnish is entirely original and untouched, and the top is hand signed. Only the best woods were used for this guitar: German bear-claw spruce and highly figured Brazilian rosewood (Cites certified). What an incredibly velvety and harmonious sound. Each note is of outermost precision and the endless seeming sustain is consistent up to the highest notes. This rare guitar really produces one of the richest tones we have ever heard on a classical guitar. Both the perfect balance and the impressive timbre make this guitar by Hermann Hauser II one of the most beautiful and noble instruments we have ever had the pleasure to offer.
