Man attempts to steal $1.5M in jewelry from Macy’s in Downtown Brooklyn | News 12

A man tried to walk out of Macy’s in Downtown Brooklyn with $1.5 million worth of jewelry but was unsuccessful. Police said the attempted heist occurred Monday night, when the suspect allegedly placed the jewelry into a suitcase and attempted to leave the store. An employee confronted the man, causing him to abandon the suitcase and flee the scene. Macy’s has yet to respond to requests for comment.
