Video review of my custom-built Solid All-Koa Chinese Martin D45 (Replica) Made in July, 2024. I created this video because there were no recent postings showing these Chinese-made Martin-replica guitars. I was very surprised to discover the quality of these Chinese-built replicas. For any of you looking into buying from overseas like I was, there’s always an element of caution due to shipping and not being able to actually see and put your hands on the instrument. I took the chance, and save a ton of money, getting a guitar to meet my personal specifications and expectations. It wasn’t perfect.. primarily due to the fact that I forgot to specify i wanted a very low action. Because of that, I had to lower the action myself, which worked out fine. I know there are going top be some hard-core Marting players out there that will be critical of this, but hey… I could never afford to have a custom built Martin, and many of the American guitar companies are now having instruments manufactured out of the country… Gibson and Martin included. So I don’t feel any kind of guilt for purchasing out of country.
