Lake James Bucket List Fishing Trip - In Search of Smallmouth Bass in North Carolina (June 2021)

Lake James is known for smallmouth bass in North Carolina. It has been on our bucket list for awhile and we were able to make the trip happen this summer finally. Definitely a place we will return to again Lord willing. Lake James is located in Western, NC and is about 3.5 hours from Raleigh. It is close enough to make a day trip out of it but better if you can make a weekend trip out of it. We did not catch any smallmouth this time so we have even more motivation to return again. Almost all the fish in this video were caught on a silver and gray War Eagle spinner bait. We fished the first week of June 2021.
