This video is part of LTX Fest 2020, a four-day, virtual experience curated for the largest gathering of Latinx professionals in technology, advocacy, venture capital and entrepreneurship—hosted by The Kapor Center, Latinas in Tech, Latino Community Foundation, Outco, LatinxVC, 3 Lopez, Techqueria, and LA Collab. In its fourth year, LTX Fest reached over 7,000 attendee registrations and featured more than 80 Latinx speakers including cultural icons and trailblazers, America Ferrera, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, Dolores Huerta, and Cristina Jimenez Moreta. The Latinx community is the least represented across the tech sector, with only 8% Latinx employees in the US high-tech workforce. With the economic potential and upward mobility tied to the industry, it is urgent that we provide centralized resources and equitable access to tech career paths. LTX Fest is the community-centric approach to removing barriers and increasing parity for Latinx professionals.
