OK....first off, at the risk of starting a clickbait riot, NO, it will not start. The obvious reason for this comes toward the end of the video. Second, I'm almost certain I'm wayyy off the mark in the part of the video where I attributed that firewall mounted resistor to being a part of the headlight circuit. In the video I posited that its purpose may be for current limiting for when not using the high beams, but in hindsight, that makes ZERO sense! I mean, that would be why the sealed beam headlamps had 2 separate filaments (I know, right?....DUH!!). So can we just agree to chalk that silly momentary lapse of reason up to just being yet another one of my (ever increasing in frequency) 'senior moments'? Anyhoo, with that out of the way: Eugene, I'm counting on you here! What say ye regarding that resistor who, anthropomorphically speaking, just called me stupid? Could it be part of the blower motor circuit for fan speeds (And if so, I'd guess the only choices would have had to have been hi/low, as this doesn't appear to be a multi-tap resistor)? Possibly an ignition resistor? Or maybe even part of the 12 volt DC generator charging system? If anyone's going to know the answer, it's going to be YOU! I'm counting on your expertise to solve this mystery! UPDATE: Thank you all for your comments, added info, etc. Several have suggested there are still viable parts, so if anyone needs something in particular, I'd be glad to help you out with that. So just drop me a line. I doubt (but I'm not sure?) YouTube allows email addresses in the comments section, so we may have to get creative, hahaha.
