Devala Hatty is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, such as the rolling tea plantations and lively green villages. The area gets a lot of rain, which has earned it the nickname "Cherrapunji of the South." Devala is a small village located in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. It is approximately 16 kilometers away from Gudalur on the Gudalur-Pandalur road. If you coming from Gudallur town before Nadukani ghat checkpost, there is one petrol bunk, called SM Petroleum, and right in the front of the road leading to the location. Driving or riding through this road is an amazing experience. The road is surrounded by beautiful tea estates, and sometimes you might even spot wild animals like elephants and deer in the area.
