Test drive ŠKODA Octavia RS180/2.0A7F, Algarrobo pueblo to Rio turvilla, Vantrue N2S 4K GPS dashcam

In Jan 2022 , after coming back from Germany to Spain , I took my new ŠKODA Octavia RS TS180/2.0A7F estate (Combi) for a first test drive up the winding mountain road from Algarrobo pueblo until Rio turvilla (Canillas de Albaida). Driving through mountain villages Sayalonga and Cómpeta. Testing also the "Vantrue N2S 4K GPS Dashcam" in 4K (3840x2160P) single view to film the drive. The cam was set to 4K max resolution in single view (no passenger recording), with its built-in mic on. In Jan 2022 the cam was available for roughly 180 EUR on Amazon. I am really happy with the dashcam and by now I have bought a second one for the rear window, because I prefer having the front cam recording in 4K which is not(!) possible in dual recording mode (I am using a 256 GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC, class 10 ~120 MB/s, which works well). It remains to be seen how the cam will be doing during the very hot summertime, because it comes with a rather simple plastic case. According to “Vantrue” the cam was build using “supercapacitors” which should be able to deal with higher temperatures. The night view of the cam is ok, but recognizing license plates during the night really depends on the light situation (e.g. blinding lights from oncoming traffic etc.). It was only the second time I was driving this route through the mountain villages, so I am still not completely familiar with the route and each of its bends and corners ;-) Mind you, the ŠKODA Octavia RS estate is not a 100% sports car! Also, the mounted tires at the time during this drive were not ideal for the warm climate in the south of Spain (all-season tires). Considering the route up the mountain is not a racetrack, it is most advisable not to take the car to its limits too much, of course. All in all, I must say that ŠKODA managed a nice balance between sports car and everyday usability with this very versatile model. E.g. the boot space is amazing! Nicely done ŠKODA ! Notes: -The purpose of this video was simply the test of the car and also the dashcam! The songs you hear during the drive were not(!) added by me in post-edit but were simply playing during the drive either on the radio at that time or on free Spotifiy streaming! So, sorry for the choice and quality of music, which was simply being recorded by the built-in mic of the cam. There is no accounting for taste ;-) -Also, due to a serious lack of time I was not able to mask any license plates of cars appearing in the video.
