Exactly the kind of quiet escape we’d been craving. The park service keeps these floating gems in excellent condition, which made the whole experience even smoother. And there’s something almost surreal about waking up with the gentle sway of the water beneath you, the lake stretching out in every direction. For a few days, it felt like we had our own private island—only better. We enjoyed the camping trip so much that we went back in 2019.
