Ingredients (2–3 servings): Spaghetti – 250 g / ½ lb Ground beef – 300 g / 2/3 lb Olive oil – 2 tbsp Onion – 1 small Garlic – 3 cloves Crushed tomatoes – 400 g / 14 oz Salt & black pepper Sugar – ½ tsp Dried basil or oregano – 1 tsp Fresh parsley – for serving Grated hard cheese (Parmesan / Grana Padano) – for serving Cooking Steps: Lay out all ingredients on the table and bring water to a boil. While water heats, chop the onion and crush the garlic. When water boils, add spaghetti, salt well, and cook al dente (8–9 minutes). Meanwhile, heat a pan with olive oil and brown the ground beef. Save a cup of pasta water from the boiling pot. Season beef with salt and pepper, then add chopped onion and garlic. Stir and cook gently. Add crushed tomatoes and dried basil. Simmer until pasta sauce thickens. Add cooked spaghetti to the pan, mix well, and pour in reserved pasta water if needed. Plate spaghetti, sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated cheese.
