After watching the 1971 film 'Where Our Houses Used To Be" it occurred to me that the issues raised in this film have become normalized and people are now being locked down in these hi-rise flats due to the SARS Cov-2 pandemic Residents who spoke on this film predicted that the Doddington and Rollo Estate in Battersea would become slums within a few years but people still live in these poorly designed tower blocks today, 50 years later Residents talked about how their lives changed since living in the estate, they have become miserable and isolated, one lady talks about her daughter moving away to Windsor for a better life so these flats have separated families rather than uniting them A very cheerful elderly Lady says "all the people seem to have turned dopey since moving into the flats", so I think she was seeing these people being socially conditioned because 50 years later people have become even more dopey I expect that Smart Cities will become slums in the future and the isolation will be much worse, especially for those who won't compy Original Film ... • London Council Estates (1971) | Where...
