Ottawa, On. It was a full day of horse talk, horse trading, and, mostly, Horsepower. Mustang Day at International Dyno Authority was attended by members of every Mustang posse around town. Capital City Mustangs, Club Mustang Outaouais, Ottawa Classic Mustang Club, and Ottawa Mustang Club were all represented by riders looking to see what their steeds could do. One lucky rider, Paul Schnare of the Ottawa Mustang Club, won the draw for a full Custom Dyno Tune. His 2010 ragtop, running a 4.6L, went from 256.95 to a best of 326.28 lbs-ft torque and 242.43 HP to 306.60 Horses. That's an increase of 27% and 25% respectively. I spoke with him the next day, and he was one happy cowboy! I'm sure that in the days to come, he'll be pleased with the fuel efficiency and smooth responsiveness. The crew at IDA was nothing short of incredible. Watching them corral 9 horses in a day was worth the price of admission alone. Melanie and Dogu were the team to beat in the pits, and watching James on the prowl capturing video was lots of fun. Wally and Mark, as always, were on the money, making it all come together. It was a great day to meet like-minded people, swap stories and information, enjoy the free BBQ handled by George and Jonathan, and top it off with fantastic treats from Marci of Sweets N Treats, Almonte.
