This is the true story behind Netflix’s The Perfect Neighbor - the real Ajike Owens case that inspired it. What started as an argument over the noise of children playing outside would end in tragedy and ignite national debate about fear, race, and Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. In this Deep, Dark & Scary documentary, we examine the fatal shooting of Ajike “AJ” Owens by her neighbor, Susan Lorincz, in Ocala, Florida.We’ll walk through some of the bodycam footage, interrogation video.
