Chemnitz Heizhausfest Steam Festival 2025

The Chemnitz Heizhausfest (Steam Festival) at the Sachsisches Eisenbahnmuseum (Saxon Railway Museum) just outside Chemnitz, Germany (Chemnitz - Hilbersdorf). The event took place over 23 and 24 August 2025, footage includes various loco movements captured throughout the weekend alongside the various static exhibits. The museum features a large yard with 2 roundhouses, a running line and a coaling tower. The coaling tower is an example that could coal 4 locomotives at the same time and the only one in preservation, although is no longer used and cosmetically restored. I've focused upon the steam locos and movements, but there were also a large collection of diesel and electric locomotives as well. All locos featured in video that are in steam are visitors for the event, the museum currently does not have any of their own steamable engines, but under restoration.
