In this video I’ll be sharing 10 tips for starting a home daycare or preschool program. #1- FIND OUT ALL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS AND CITY CODE INFORMATION (tx health and human services, previously dfps) (education, experience requirements) #2-Set up a dedicated space for your program. (Mine is in my formal living area in the front part of my home) #3- create a schedule/routine appropriate for the ages you will be keeping #4- set clear hours and policies -this is a business and to be successful it must be run as so. #5- set pricing information, call around to other programs, ask parents, etc. #6- Network! Meet other early learning professionals in your area.
