It's no secret. I love(d) Tufts VUE - Visual Understanding Environment. I used it constantly to map out ideas. It was my digital whiteboard, and it was the only tool I found that was remotely useful for rapid prototyping of my internal idea-space. But sadly it is out of date. Last time I tried to get it to work on a Mac it took a day or two of fiddling and I've got to face it at some point... I need something new. But nothing like it exists. So I set myself an experiment. How far could I get in 3 days. The results you can see here. Yes it needs work, but, well... wow. Vibe coding only requires of you that you can think clearly, build sequentially to form complex structures and understand relationships. I do NOT know how to code and I have never done data architecture for software companies. The future of software is whatever we can imagine and have the patience to create. 0:00 Introducing the Tufts Visual Understanding Environment (VUE) java program 3:37 My progress after around 40 hours of vibe coding on Replit to recreate and reimagine VUE 10:22 The beauty of useing markdown for content... font and colour themes
