Today we go behind the scene of the popular cartoon series! **VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION SPOILERS** Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir is an animated superhero tale of two teenagers fighting the forces of evil in the city of Paris. If you think that you know everything about this series, there might be a chance that you missed something. Here is a list of 10 Things You Didn't Know About Miraculous Ladybug! I'm Lady BlahBlah, and if you are new to our channel, please remember to subscribe and put the notifications on, so you won`t miss any of our cool videos! #10. Jagged Stone’s Musical Legacy Jagged Stone is a very energetic music performer and celebrity. His name is a combination of themes from the British rock band The Rolling Stones. His first name is inspired by Mick Jagger, the lead singer. #9. Father to All Tom Dupain, Marinette’s father and the head baker of the family bakery, was named after the creator of the series, Thomas Astruc, which he confirmed on Twitter. #8. Sneaky Fox In the episode “Sapotis,” Ladybug temporarily grants Alya Césaire the fox miraculous to help defeat her akumatized younger twin sisters. Alya names herself Rena Rouge, which is a play on the French words “renard,” which means fox, and “rouge” which means red. #7. Unplugged Powers The episode “Origins” explains how Marinette and Adrien were granted their miraculous powers. When Marinette saves Master Fu from the heavy traffic, it turns out she was the only one that was paying attention to her surroundings. Everyone else in that scene was distracted, mostly by smartphones. #6. Birds of a Feather The kind and gentle Mr. Xavier Ramier is one of the secondary characters in the show. He is often seen feeding and talking to his pigeon friends. It was at his encounter at The Trocadéro in front of the Eiffel Tower where Marinette sought inspiration to design her feather derby in the episode “Mr. Pigeon.” Xavier’s last name means “wood pigeon” in French. #5. Mirror Image In the episode “Frightingale,” Clara Nightingale persuaded Adrien and Marinette to reluctantly dressing as their superhero alter-egos. In each of their turns in the dressing room trailer, they both check out their costumes and are worried about the close resemblance to the “real thing.” If you watch Adrien in the mirror, and then Marinette later on, it turns out that their movements are reverse of each other, almost like a mirror image. This plays on the common theme of the show of not only symmetry but also the yin-yang. #4. King of the Urban Jungle Adrien’s nickname for his bodyguard is “The Gorilla.” He is very large, intimidating, and speaks mostly in grunts. In the episode “Simon Says,” he is hypnotized into acting like a gorilla. Adrien sneaks out of the house to catch a limited run movie in the episode “Gorizilla.” After several unsuccessful attempts to catch up with Adrien, his bodyguard is akumatized by HawkMoth and turned into a huge, strong blue gorilla-like creature. He captures him and carries him up to the top of a skyscraper. When Ladybug uses her lucky charm, she is granted a toy radio-controlled helicopter. She uses it to force Gorizilla to let go of Adrien to swat the pesky toy away. This is a direct reference to the classic movie “King Kong.” #3. Double-Edged Sword Adrien meets his fencing match in the episode “Riposte.” A new student, Kagami Tsurugi, challenges him to a duel to prove her worth to Armand D’Argencourt for the single opening in his fencing school. Her last name means “sword” in Japanese, while her first name means “mirror,” since she is an equal match in fencing to Adrien and very opposite in personality compared to Marinette. #2. Chemical Reaction Ms. Mendeliev is a teacher at Marinette’s school, Collège Françoise Dupont. She teaches math and science and is very technical. She is often reprimanding the students for being distracted and not paying attention in class, especially when teaching Chemistry. She is named after the chemist Dmitri Mendeleev who is famous for developing the Periodic Table of Elements. #1. Rockin’ Grandma Marinette’s grandmother, Gina Dupain, pays a visit to her on her birthday in the episode “Befana.” She mentions traveling around Europe on her motorcycle. Part of her cool-girl outfit includes a black t-shirt with a light shining through a triangular prism, which is the cover art for the famous album “Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd. #Born2BeViral #MiraculousLadybug #Nickelodeon - - The Show Must Be Go Song by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...
